YOUR LIFE AS A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL / CAREGIVING ATTENDANT
This part-time position works per diem, or as needed.
As a Direct Support Professional / Caregiving Attendant, you assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their community and residential homes. Your schedule is per diem, meaning you work as needed. You provide direct supervision in many areas, such as housekeeping, meal preparation, attending appointments, and attending social activities. Depending on the needs of the resident and in accordance with the treatment plan, you may also administer medications, implement a behavioral management plan, and maintain medical records.
Using effective teaching and mentoring techniques, you provide support for our clients with their day-to-day schedules. You are always careful to model appropriate social skills and behaviors. With attention to detail, you keep accurate and up-to-date records. You find it very rewarding to help these wonderful individuals, which is why you're perfect for this human services position!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Commitment to providing high-quality services to individuals with disabilities in the community and residential settings
- Ability to become medication certified (AMAP)
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license
- Covid-19 vaccination
