WHAT YOU’LL DO

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

• Partner with Software Engineering to transition legacy deployment and repo services from Team City / Octopus Deploy, to Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with our Software Engineering team to structure Azure resources, configure pipelines to support branching strategy (slot setting), and build automation services for deployment of new software and services.
• Provide CI/CD support for Power Platform & Dataverse objects & releases.
• Release Management - manage the release process for applications and database projects – Azure Cloud based, On-prem, & Hybrid.
• Develop, maintain, and debug build and deployment pipelines for applications and infrastructure. (Example: Azure DevOps, YAML)
• Build custom scripts to augment automation tools as necessary….(YAML, Power Script, etc…)
• Orchestrate CI/CD services for a variety of technologies, as needed. (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, ARM Templates, Power Platform ALM)
• Tool Administration, customization, analytics, and integration for various 3rd party tools (Examples: GitHub, Azure DevOps Marketplace Add-Ons, Synapse, etc).
• Provide administrative support for all Azure DevOps modules (Boards, Pipelines, Repos, Test Plans, & Artifacts).
• Ensure cloud infrastructure reliability, security, and scalability for Azure services & applications.
• Monitor and react to cost, resources and infrastructure usage in Azure.
• Test Automation - Create, maintain, and debug test automation for various web applications.
• Advise teams on DevOps best practices and processes (Examples: test-ability, deploy-ability, security, Repo, etc..)
• Onboard development team members into various environments, applications, and environments. (Using SQL and Azure)
• Document new processes and procedures.
• Serve as SME and go-to resource for Azure DevOps among other Infrastructure Engineers, providing open knowledge share.
• Support general Infrastructure Engineering initiatives, with a focus on Azure Cloud services, as required.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

• 
  An approachable disposition in an open team environment with a willingness to help and share knowledge.
• 5+ Years of experience in a Azure DevOps role.
• 7+ Years of experience in Software Engineering, or Cloud Engineering.
• Able to work independently and define DevOps procedures.
• Proficient in Git, SQL, C# CI/CD with one or more of the following: Azure DevOps, Power Platform, GitLab, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy
• Strong foundational knowledge of Software Engineering, Infrastructure, and Cloud engineering principles, techniques, & procedures.
• Fundamental comprehension of Azure Services design intent and offerings.
• Experience in application/ system architecture, building/ running distributed/ scalable solutions on the Azure platform.
• Senior level understanding of database architecture. (SQL, Dataverse).
• Senior level understanding of VMware and V-center management.
• Programming / Scripting — Writing scripts & solutions for various purposes. Programmatically addressing Azure Cloud services, (Graph API Library, REST APIs, Events Hub, etc…)
• Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Complex Problem Solving— Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Systems Analysis — Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
• Active Listening— Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.

Nice-To-Haves:

• 
  Experience with SQL Server, SharePoint, and database design
• .Net or equivalent scripting languages.
• Experience with IDEs such as Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
• Experience with HTML, JSON, CSS
• Experienced with data manipulation
• Connectivity experience using standard Rest APIs and JSON
• Worked in a Formal Agile environment
• Experience with project and ticketing systems such as Dev Ops or Jira
