This position works with the engineering team, maintenance leaders and area managers to develop detailed engineering drawings and documents to support the business needs of the company. Transforms ideas and concepts into realistic, detailed designs in the form of engineering drawings and supporting documents. Assists in the management of the engineering documents database and serves as an administrator of key digital systems used in the creation, modification and storage of documents.

Essential Functions

• Develop new designs or revise existing designs as necessary to meet the requirements of engineering, maintenance, safety and production personnel.
• Create, maintain, and/or verify accuracy of engineering documentation.
• Serve as a technical drafting and CAD mentor for Managers, Engineers, Designers, and other departments.
• Provide project management oversight for new and existing engineering design control systems.
• Provide administrative oversight of the engineering document repository, which includes drawings, manuals, bills of material, engineering standards and procedures.

Desired Experience

• Proficiency with computer aided drafting (CAD) software and CAD standards
• Experience using independent evaluation, people skills, and planning tools to coordinate projects focused on the delivery of efficient and robust design
• Experience managing and interfacing with PDM systems
• Experience with specific techniques required to perform analysis and designs common to the specific engineering discipline.
• Familiarity with engineering and safety standards such as ASTM, ANSI, OSHA, NFPA, and ASME.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in design related experience, preferred.
