Herald Christian Health Center is searching for an experienced Dental Supervisor who is fluent in English and Cantonese or Mandarin. ($2,000 sign-on bonus)

The position

The Dental Department Supervisor will assist the Dental Department Manager and the Dental Director in the overall management of Dental clinic operations including dental staff assignment, and coordinating and integrating programs with dental staff. This individual’s main responsibility will be the day-to-day supervision of the clinic’s activities, providing support and supervision of dental assistant staff, and participating in the implementation and monitoring of the quality initiatives. The Dental Department Supervisor will assist the Dental Department Manager and the Dental Director in addressing any HR issues, workflow challenges, and staff performance issues.

The Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supervise the day-to-day activities of the clinic’s dental programs.

2. Assist overall management of programs.

3. Management of dental staff schedule.

4. Assist Dental Manager in the management of patient appointments.

5. Triage patients according to protocol, and assess patients by obtaining detailed information. Coordinates same-day appointments.

The Requirements:

1. Minimum 3+ years’ experience in clinic operations

2. 3+ years as asupervisor or lead employee

3. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skill

5. Well organized and detail oriented

6. Comfortable in diverse settings and working with a diverse community

7. Fluency in English and Cantonese or Mandarin is required.

8. An RDA is required.

9. Must possess a High School Diploma or GED

10 . Must have a current X-ray License. If he/she does not, then they must sign an agreement that they will obtain the license within three (3) months of employment.I.

Herald Christian Health Center (HCHC) is a non-profit community clinic and we operate six clinics with about 200 employees between San Gabriel Valley and San Diego, California. The mission of HCHC is to provide quality and affordable holistic healthcare to the low income patients in our service area. HCHC patient population is comprised mostly of limited English proficient immigrants from China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Taiwan. This is why we require Cantonese or Mandarin capacity-to interact with our patients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $31.00 per hour
