Front Office Representative
Job Summary
· Greets patients, answers phones, schedules and confirms appointments
· Performs coding, billing and accounts receivables duties, including data entry of charges, payments and adjustments.
· Assists patients in understanding their insurance benefits and optimal utilization of such benefits
General Accountabilities
· Pulls patients' charts in preparation for each day's schedule.
· Greets patients, provides any new patient or update forms, schedules next visit appointments.
· Enters patient insurance information and charge data into billing system.
· Submits insurance claims and patient statements for all procedures performed on date of service.
· Prepares Explanation of Benefits and reviews with patient.
· Processes all forms of payments, including cash, checks and credit cards. Provides patients with corresponding receipts.
· Maintains patient ledgers to reflect services provided and payments received.
· Follows up on accounts receivables with patients and third party payors, re-bills claims, submits secondary insurance claims, and initiates account correspondence or phone calls to patients and/or third party payors.
· Responds to incoming correspondences or phone calls.
· Arranges patient payment plans.
· Communicates with specialty offices regarding patient referrals. Forwards radiographs as needed.
· Maintains files on all documentation, such as charge slips, Explanation of Benefits, and client or patient information.
· All cash and check payments collected must be submitted to employer at the end of each business day.
· Receives and maintains electronic/postal/office delivery mail communications. Forwards all specialty provider communications, vendor communications, invoices, statements, and any other communications requiring special attention to employer.

Job Qualifications
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent
· Experience: 2-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
