Are you a passionate, committed, activities professional with extensive dementia and memory care experience who wants to grow our community to the most caring, vibrant, one-of-a-kind in the state of Georgia? The Dementia Care Director is responsible for creating, coordinating, implementing, and leading all resident programming and staffing aspects of Claiborne Senior Living’s signature Tempus Program (Dementia/Memory Care) at the community. This care includes assisting the residents and their families in maintaining their physical and emotional health.

Job Responsibilities Include (But not limited to):

· Develop and implement a vibrant monthly calendar.

· Plans, organizes small, large and community events.

· Hands On programming director, leads daily activities and events, resident advocate.

· Operate within department budget, maintain budget spend down, order and maintain supplies.

· Coach and train memory care caregivers and community caregivers on dementia and cognitive impairment approach and behavior modification.

· Maintain safety and security of memory care neighborhood.

· Establishes volunteer base and community network.

· Transports residents to and from outside events and appointments.

· Participates in “Manager On Duty” Program, Available to work flexible schedule.

· Understands and fluently communicates and coaches the team on how to appreciate, approach and communicate effectively with residents who are cognitively impaired.

· Positive, caring, and compassionate attitude and demeanor with residents and family members.

· Any other duties assigned or outlined in full job description.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
