Kikka Sushi is looking for a reliable and positive Prep Cook and Driver who will provide good customer service and be a team player. We are located inside the Whole Foods Market at Bridgeport Village Mall, 7380 SW Bridgeport Rd., Tigard, OR 97224.

This Part Time or Full time with benefits position works 5am – 1:30pm, 3 - 5 days a week (must work all Saturdays and Sundays) with an hour meal break.

As a Prep cook, before and after deliveries, the Team Member will make sushi (don’t worry, we will teach you), prep, clean, help customers and be a team player with whatever else as needed.

As a driver the Team Member will

• Pack product in coolers, load the Kikka van, and drive carefully obeying all laws and procedures.
• Communicate with receiving stores ensuring proper temps of product and obtaining clearance to deliver products.
• At the delivery location, log and remove yesterday’s expired product, stage current products and re-stock supplies on assigned shelves, correctly, neatly and per selling standards.
• Repeat the process with 4 other locations in Portland, Lake Oswego and Tigard area.
• All must be done in the time expectations set for each delivery, usually 2 – 3 hours.
• Upon return to the home location ensure everything is cleaned and put away for tomorrow’s delivery.

To thrive you must show up to work on time and as scheduled, be willing to learn and work hard (this isn’t an easy job), be patient (it takes about 3 months to make sushi quickly and look nice too), must be willing to stick it out (not quit after a few weeks or a couple of months) and be able to work with multi-cultural and multi-lingual co-workers, some who barely speak English.

Pay $16.50 per hour.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to show proof of valid Oregon driver’s license and clean driving record
• Have a current Oregon food handlers card (must state that you have this on your resume or in certifications and bring it to an interview)
• Be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Be motivated and moves with a sense of urgency.

Preferred experience:

• Working in quick service restaurants, supermarkets or fast paced environments
• “Kitchen experience”
