About us

Faith Academy has 310 students and is a ministry of Faith Family Church (4,000 members); Since 1981, the values of Reverence, Respect, & Responsibility have shaped our students. Daily, we create experiences for students to grow in God, develop a biblical worldview, and use their gifts and talents to change the world! Our accredited K3 -12-grade program equips students to follow Christ and reach their highest potential academically, socially, & spiritually.

We are looking for the following positions:

· Full-time High School Academic Advisor

Responsibilities:

· Academic Advising & Scheduling

· Dual Credit/ Independent Study

· Academic Testing (ASVAB, Iowa Assessment, PSAT)

· Holistic Testing (Spiritual Gifts Assessment, College & Career Interest Inventories)

· Curriculum Management (Budget, Inventory, & Order)

Experience:

· The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of teaching or advising experience.

· Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

· Crucial to the position is an individual with a proven record of leadership, evidence of a strong Christian faith and daily walk, a passion for their teaching and coaching fields, and a desire to use the position as a ministry.

About the Location:

Victoria, Texas, known as the South Texas Crossroads, is one of the oldest cities in Texas. Highways 77, 87, and 59 (the future I-69) intersect in Victoria. With a population of nearly 90,000 and a retail trade area of over 250,000, Victoria is a cultural, historical, and economic hub for the surrounding seven counties.

Today, through ranching, oil, several chemical plants, 3 advanced hospitals, and other commerce, a warm year-round climate, fertile soil, and an abundance of natural resources and water, Victoria continues to grow at a remarkable rate.

Victoria has many attractions and points of interest for a city of its size. Still, these don't just end with Victoria but also include the surrounding counties such as historic Goliad, the coastal county of Calhoun, the old homes and spring wildflowers of Dewitt County, the huge leather industry in Lavaca County, and the outdoor activities on the lake in Jackson County. It is within 2 hours of Houston, Austin, and San Antonio for big-city entertainment and events. As well as Rockport and Port Aransas to enjoy the bay, beautiful beaches, and great water fishing and sporting activities and getaways.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching students from different backgrounds and will promote critical thinking and problem-solving in the classroom. As a Faith Academy teacher, you'll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of students, including those at our middle school and high school.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
