WSP is currently initiating a search for a Data Analyst for our Sunrise, FL office to work within our Project Collaboration practice. The main purpose of this position will be to assist in the development and maintenance of various business applications across multiple platforms including SharePoint, Power BI, and the rest of the Microsoft application suite. This position will involve collaboration between different working units to meet client needs.


Your Impact

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft’s SharePoint application, electronic workflows, and understanding of Power BI application.
  • Ability to field client requests and communicate any shifting priority items to the rest of the team.
  • The position requires a variety of service knowledge and experience ranging from day-to-day support to general troubleshooting of front-end applications.
  • Ability to confidently work inside metadata stores and assist with monthly reporting functions.
  • Assist with supporting electronic workflows related to Contract Administration (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings, etc.), Lane Closure Management, Materials Tracking and Management (including testing, permitting and QA/QC) and others.
  • Assist with project control and project management reporting for schedule, cost, risk and other as directed to PM.
  • Demonstrate and perform Business Analyst skills at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Familiarity with SQL data applications / centralized database reporting in support of AEC/CE&I practices.
  • Coordinate with various teams including those of Project Delivery, Project Support, Project Controls, Materials Operations, Project Management,
  • Document Control and Business Applications.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in software configuration and support of fast moving project delivery teams.
  • Experience in SharePoint and other project delivery platforms in AEC.
  • Microsoft Power BI development;
  • Strong system analysis skills – data interpretation and explanation of condition, trends etc.
  • Excellent oral, written and communication skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI and other data visualization tools
  • Experienced with support of project management, and financial reporting systems
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining systems based workflows for business process automation;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Working experience with a large public government agency or utility is a plus
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  • Must possess a BS in Computer Science or related technical degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related technical degree
  • Experience with Primavera P6 Scheduling and AEC Cost Management Solutions
  • Experience working in the Engineering / Construction field
  • Certification in Microsoft Data Management and Analytics
