The Opportunity
Florence Corporation, a Gibraltar Industries Company, is proud to be the nations leading supplier of quality, centralized mailbox solutions. We are now hiring a Data Management Specialist to join our successful Engineering Team to support Sales and Production Operations functions. This position performs advanced data entry tasks to create and maintain Engineering information within dedication systems.
This position has potential to be fully remote however travel to business location in Manhattan, Kansas will be required during the training and onboarding period. After that, travel will be periodically required.
What you'll do
Product Data Maintenance (50%)
- Perform Item Master set up in ERP system according to Global Standards and established processes
- Maintain accuracy of Enterprise Data items
- Perform regular review of Enterprise Data for accuracy
- Maintain Engineering data in the Solidworks PDM system
- Assist in creation and release of ECR/ECN documents
Bill of Material (BOM) structure Maintenance (40%)
- Ensure data entry of new BOMs complies with Global Standards and established processes
- Maintain accuracy of active BOMs and associated items used in manufacturing operations
- Perform regular review of Enterprise Data and complete actions related to deactivation of obsolete BOMs
- Perform regular review of BOMs for accuracy
Routing Maintenance (10%)
- Assist in creation and maintenance of Routings in ERP system
- Assist Manufacturing Engineering in review of Routings for accuracy

What you'll need to be successful
- 2+ year of experience with SAP 4 HANA or similar SAP ERP system preferred
- 1+ year of experience with Solidworks PDM or similar Product Data Management system preferred
- Knowledge of standard ECR/ECN practices preferred
- Demonstrable basic-level understanding of Enterprise Data Management methodologies
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal direction/supervision
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent computer skills with intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of engineering modeling software a plus, but not required
- Associates degree, preferably in business, Supply Chain Operations or technical related field preferred
