Job description

• Receive and track POs from Importers for pending shipments
• Handle ocean and air bookings from overseas agents/branches and coordinate the transport to the final destination
• Respond to customer requests for freight quotes, including those requiring special services - warehousing, trans-loading, OTR services etc.
• Provide shipment information via reports
• Resolve billing issues - such as invoices to customers, payments to carriers, warehouses, and truckers
• Review unbillable charges to minimize future losses
• Stay up-to-date on all news related to domestic and international transportation in order to provide customers with timely industry updates
• Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems that could cause delays in the shipments
• Coordinate with Traffic and FTL/LTL teams daily to secure equipment, space, and timely deliveries
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• 1- 3+ years experience in freight forwarding sales preferred
• Meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly marketing goals
• Excellent negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and networking skills
• Associates degree or related work experience.
• Bilingual in Mandarin or 2nd language is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management software.
• Solid experience in lead qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management.
• Self -motivated and a strong work ethic
• Experience in the transportation/logistics industry strongly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
