Customer Financial Support
Hours: Full-Time/40 Hours
Shift Details: Day shift, 1st shift. Monday - Friday from 7:30a - 4:00p

Position Summary:
Perform a variety of duties related to customer service including responding to telephone and email inquiries from patients, payers, and providers.
Responsibilities:
- Works in the customer service department responding to all incoming inquiries related to services performed, insurance issues, and payment inquiries.
- Updates demographic and insurance information as needed in EPIC system.
- Calculates patient estimates for services upon request.
- Identifies any billing/patient issues, routes calls to appropriate areas as needed, and brings escalation calls to supervisor’s attention.
- Sets up payment plans for patients according to department guidelines.
- Accepts payments and processes credit card payments in real time.
- Knowledge of Financial Assistance programs that are available and ability to discuss these options with customers.
- Respond to correspondence from attorneys offices.
- Resolve Collection Agency return reports using set procedures in place.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typing/keyboarding skills
- Customer service experience
- Excellent communication skills (telephone, written and personal). Ability to maintain professionalism when dealing with difficult customers.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to learn in a fast paced environment. Pays attention to detail and is a team player
- Hospital patient accounts experience
- Epic experience preferred.
