As a chemicals supplier to almost all industries, BASF will establish a standalone subsidiary dedicated to its Mobile Emissions Catalysts, Precious Metals Trading, Recycling, and related Products and Services business. The new group is referred to as BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions and is wholly owned by BASF. BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions will operate globally in over 15 countries and comprise of approximately 20 production sites and over 4,000 employees.

Our dedicated Customer Care Team communicates with confidence and reacts quickly to resolve customers' issues. Whether it's answering a service question, directing customers to the BASF product expert, or following up on a shipment, we consider our Customer Care Team to be our problem solving and solution "champions", delivering winning results to customers.

We are seeking a professional like you to join our team and be responsible for the entire order fulfillment process. The successful candidate will understand and follow defined Customer Care processes and procedures and serve as the BASF primary point of contact for customers.

    Leveraging your education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field and your Customer Service or Supply Chain experience, you will develop and maintain customer relationships for high profile accounts for customer base. Utilizing your excellent ability to set priorities and manage time in a dynamic work environment, and your solid understanding of supply chain process and materials planning, you will effectively and efficiently manage order to cash process activities. These activities include expediting, basic returns, back-order monitoring, sample and zero-dollar orders, consignment order process, as well as removing obstacles that may impact customer requirements and BASF’s ability to satisfy them. Demonstrating your exceptional oral and written communication skills, you will provide consistent quality service, act as a liaison for customers and external service providers, participate in interviewing process, coordinate orientation and training for new hires, as well as mentor your peers. Displaying your ability to interact with the customer in a helpful and friendly manner to recognize customer needs, and your understanding of consignment, customer portals, and eCommerce, you will support training, trouble shooting and offer solutions to customers including the eCommerce order stream. Your ability to work well in a team environment will be essential, as you manage import orders direct-to-customer, collaborate with local and global colleagues to provide streamlined communication on order status, as well as understand and enforce stated business rules and raise awareness to situations where a resolution requires cross functional coordination. Utilizing your strong problem-solving skills, you will effectively manage more complex projects and timelines for Customer Care, including organizing clear key deliverables, establishing and meeting deadlines, action item management and resolution, information sharing with stake holders, decision making, collaboration and final presentation Combining your computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, and your knowledge of web-based applications and complex order to cash processes (SAP), you will complete material availability inquiries and price discrepancy reporting Relying upon your knowledge of Non-Conformance Management (NCM) process, you Execute Customer Non-Conformance process including investigation and reporting.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

    Education and/or 5+ years relevant experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Customer Service Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook) required Experience with SAP preferred Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize customer demands/inquiries Exceptional oral and written communication skills

In accordance with applicable law, BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive pay range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
