Requirements

· At least eight (8) years of progressive experience in credit & collections environment.

  • At least three (3) year of supervisory experience in a Credit dept.
  • Proven knowledge of complete accounting cycles
  • Understanding of economic principles, financial markets, trends, and banking
  • Understanding of financial data analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations including taxes and regulatory financial compliance
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Fully Bilingual

Principal Functions: To supervise the credit and collections department according to established policies and procedures. To improve the cash flow and working capital.

  • Supervise the credit and collections team, ensuring that the company’s credit and collections policies and procedures are enforced.
  • Evaluate and process credit applications, establishing new credit lines based on thorough credit analysis and credit agency reports.
  • Create weekly, monthly, and yearly receivables reports for management review.
  • Evaluate the Bad Debt Reserve according to real risk on a quarterly basis and recommend any changes for management approval.
  • Review every month receivables accounts match with general ledger accounts.
  • Evaluate credit hold orders on a daily basis, working with the sales team to determine release/hold decision.
  • Review and continually improve collections tools.
  • Supervise payments applications and adjustments to customer accounts, proactively follow up and collect any short payments that were not approved.
  • Create and sign collection letters to customers.
  • Establish credit codes to customers according with risk analysis.
  • Evaluate, monitor and visit risky customers, reporting to Director on any situation on a weekly basis
  • Proactively perform collections to past due customers and supervise all other collections.
  • Establish and maintain good relations with customers.
  • Give support to sales department with receivables.
  • Send receivables reports to sales department and management as needed.

§ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
