We are looking for a part-time employee to work Friday through Sunday, 11am – 7pm.
Responsibilities
- Collect carts from the parking lot; return hand baskets and carts to appropriate locations, empty trash, and recycling receptacles
- Restock cleaning and packing supplies used at grocery checkout counters; keep the register area and entryway in good order; clean up broken items or spills; pick up litter in store and the parking lot
- Place groceries purchased by customers into bags, arranging heavy and bulky items at the bottom, and with consideration of possible limitations of lifting by customers; assist customers to their car, when appropriate
- Be proactive in greeting and assisting customers, responding promptly to customer needs
- Gain a thorough understanding of the member/owner program to promote to customers
- Clean, stock and detail front of store
- Work in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions
- Upon request, verify price of grocery item in question against price of items on shelf and return grocery items left at checkout counter to their specified shelves,
- Attend all staff meetings and assist co-workers when needed
Requirements
- Ability to build relationships, learn quickly, and maintain strong interpersonal skills
- Comprehend simple instructions, memos, and training materials
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Comply with all departmental policies and procedures
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Perform other duties as required by supervisor

Environment: Work is performed primarily in a grocery store setting with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions.
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
