Corporate Space Planning Project Coordinator
Job description
The Project Coordinator provides high level technical and creative support to project teams for Corporate Space Planning (CSP) projects. They are responsible for customer coordination, identifying scope, concept design, creation of documents/drawings, closeout procedures and providing guidance to team members and vendors throughout project implementation.
What will I do?
- Provide incredible service on all aspects of project work (design, schedule, budget, etc.)
- Coordinate projects including initial scope gathering, concept design phase through final close out of project, ensuring projects are on time & within budget; influence project planning, prioritization and resource allocation decisions
- Drive collaboration with business partners/leaders to ensure alignment between business objectives and project deliverables; communicate progress updates
- Direct, evaluate and advise vendors on-site throughout project
- Provide direction and communication to CSP team members; delegate tasks ensuring work is aligned, goals are achieved, and best practices are followed
- Develop and review estimates and final budgets for project work; review and approve POs as needed
- Provide expertise and optimal space planning for office renovations and relocations; create furniture layouts to meet the need of the design with inventory in mind, reusing available equipment
- Contribute to the creation of standards of practice; provide technical review/quality checks of construction documents
- Review and diagnose problems and find potential solutions and make recommendations; Facilitate sharing of lessons learned, initiating continuous improvements and reviewing feedback and ideas from the team
Required Qualifications
- 3 or more years Architecture, Design, Engineering, or Construction project coordination experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and design software (i.e. Revit, CAD)
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and actively listen when assessing multiple customer needs, professionalism and tact when resolving concerns
- Problem solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Knowledge of ergonomics and OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of systems furniture, architectural and space renovations
