The Senior Corporate Accountant will assist the Manager, Corporate Accounting and Consolidations with the monthly close, consolidation, reporting and review process. The Senior position is an integral part of the Inotiv Accounting Team with significant roles in the drafting and editing of the quarterly and annual reports, working closely with the Director, Corporate Accounting and Reporting, and Manager, Corporate Accounting and Consolidations in the completion of ad hoc requests and special projects and working with other finance and non-finance areas, as well as external service providers, to assist with projects, initiatives and deadline driven compliance. This positions offers a 10% sign on bonus!
This is a hybrid position.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating intercompany reconciliation and elimination process, including reviewing counterparty relationships and identifying and communicating reconciliation issues.
- Coordinating with internal and external parties to manage stock compensation compliance
- Preparing equity, debt, stock compensation, intangible asset and goodwill journal entries and maintaining adequate support for the entries
- Preparing the equity, intangible asset and goodwill rollforwards
- Utilizing consolidation software in order to consolidate for both operating segments
- Following established internal controls and assist in maintaining adequate documentation of adherence to the controls
- Preparing audit schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audit
- Working non-regular scheduled hours during quarterly and annual reporting
- Maintaining confidential information
- Coordinating the preparation of footnotes with accounting team members
- Completing and/or assisting with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Prior audit and/or financial reporting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Expertise in Excel, Proficiency in all other MS Office.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to utilize excel formulas effectively, specifically vlookup, sumif, sumifs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with both external and internal customers
- “Self-starter” that needs little guidance to initiate and move forward with work
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
- CPA Certification
- Experience with foreign currency translation
