Job Description

Position: Corporate Paralegal

Reports to: Associate General Counsel

Location: Little Rock, AR

Required Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or 2 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

This is an exempt position. The position requires extensive contact and work with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as with Company outside counsel and outside counsel for other parties.

Principle areas of Responsibility :

  • Prepare and review contracts, customer letters, and other documents with attorney supervision
  • Proficient use of Company’s document management system
  • Draft corporate governance documents
  • Maintain corporate records and handle corporate filings as needed
  • Coordinate board and committee signatures for documents
  • Provide administrative support for corporate transactions
  • Provide litigation support, including assisting both in-house and outside counsel on litigation matters
  • Assist with investigations and fact-finding for litigation matters
  • Assist and work with in-house and outside counsel on real estate transactions
  • Prepare and maintain leased and owned property spreadsheets
  • Assist with subpoena responses as needed
  • Provide administrative support for in-house counsel and Chief Financial Officer
  • Track outside legal spend, process legal invoices, and maintain relevant spreadsheets
  • Conduct legal research and drafting as requested
  • Assist in-house and outside counsel with intellectual property filings and renewals as needed
  • Successfully complete special projects and other assignments as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Other Requirements:

  • General understanding of the law and legal documentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals, inside and outside the Company, personally, via phone, and in writing
  • Ability to work independently with little day-to-day supervision
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Considerable attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well within deadlines, despite interruptions
  • Flexibility and the ability to function with constantly changing and multiple priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
