Arcaea is a biology-first beauty company building a new ingredient toolset for the beauty and personal care industry. We are creating pioneering ingredients, products, and stories accessible uniquely through biology.

Arcaea is a cutting-edge biotechnology company that is revolutionizing the beauty and personal care industry with its innovative ingredient toolset. We are seeking a talented and passionate Copywriter to join our team and help shape Arcaea's vision of a "biology-first" future for the industry.

As a Copywriter at Arcaea, you will play a critical role in crafting compelling and engaging content that tells the story of our revolutionary products and their impact on the beauty and personal care industry. You will work closely with our marketing and product development teams to develop creative and persuasive copy that resonates with our target audience and conveys our mission to create the most consequential personal care ingredients and brands of this century.

This role reports to the Creative Director.This is a full time role based in Boston MA, or remote in consideration of candidates.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Develop and execute creative and impactful copy for a wide range of marketing materials, including product descriptions, digital ad messaging, brochures, web content, email, social media posts, packaging, and other promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and Marketing team to develop and implement content strategies that align with Arcaea's brand messaging and overall marketing objectives.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, consumer insights, and competitor analysis to inform and optimize copywriting efforts.
  • Work closely with the product development team to understand the science and technology behind Arcaea's innovative ingredient toolset and translate complex concepts into compelling and accessible copy for different audiences.
  • Review and edit copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the beauty and personal care industry, as well as biotechnology, to inform copywriting strategies and stay ahead of the competition.

WHAT WE SEEK:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably in the beauty, personal care, or biotechnology industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into engaging and accessible copy for different audiences.
  • Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Ability to work alone and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to proofread and edit copy for accuracy and consistency.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and experience optimizing copy for search engines is a plus.
  • Passion for sustainability, biotechnology, and the beauty and personal care industry.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $85,000. The range is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
