Utilizing your knowledge of Control Systems and associated package configurations and arrangements to address Current and New Business opportunities for Gas Services involving Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Packages. Coordinate with the other disciplines to make sure we are achieving a complete review of client specifications which are consistent with the engineering standards and configurations for each developing opportunity and the business plan.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
Analyze market developments and define new requirements and opportunities for control system configurations and concepts to be designed and utilized.
Coordinate Control system architecture with other Siemens-Energy divisions when bidding across product lines to be consistent and aligned.
Contribute to generic scope of supply and delivery documentation regarding control systems.
Review and comment on technical specifications received from clients for rotating equipment proposals.
What You Bring (requirements)
BS in Engineering required. Electrical/Electronics discipline or related field preferred.
Demonstrable knowledge of Turbo Machinery Engineering processes, business software, and technology for Control Systems for at least two (2) types of Industrial Applications Products - Gas Turbines (Small, Medium, or Aeroderivative); Turbo Compressors (STC, DATUM, or RF); Reciprocating Compressors; Steam Turbines
Minimum of 10 years experience, 15+ years preferred, in Rotating Equipment for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other Process Industry applications, achieved through working on Industrial Applications Products in Controls and Instrumentation Engineering
Peer-recognized for solving complex problems, developing new and improving business processes, demonstrating high professional judgement in ambiguous circumstances, and coordinating technical deliverables from across a global-matrixed organization.
Practiced in the application of control systems for Turbo Machinery products.
Application experience with both Allen Bradley PLC and Siemens PCS 7 is required, this includes hardware as well as software.
Cost out and development experience for control systems and panels, including related Engineering, Manufacturing and Supplier costs.
Experience with the application of API 670 Machinery Protection Systems including NFPA 750 for Fire and Gas system control.
Experience with control system specifications from major oil and gas operators.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
