Job Purpose

This position is responsible for the management of Northpointe’s contracts, the contracting process, site reviews, and staff credentialing.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • A review of this description has excluded the marginal functions of the position that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. Essential Duties

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining contracts according to Northpointe’s policies and procedures.
  • Prepares Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and compiles data related to the RFP
  • Leads contract procurement through the competitive bid process.
  • Assists in training Northpointe supervisors in contract management and liability; advises departments of contractual rights and obligations.
  • Maintains contract and contractor status databases.
  • Establishes and maintains contact with contractors to ensure the smooth working of the contract awarding process.
  • Leads the Site Review Team - Organizing and monitoring of site reviews for all service providers (direct run and contract) to maintain contract and licensing requirements (e.g., ensures contract compliance in areas such as rights aggregate review of incident reports, etc.) and prepares written reports.
  • Acts as a liaison between Northpointe and contractors/vendors.
  • Attends all required Provider Network seminars and trainings including participation on regional meetings.
  • Ensures contract approval and amendments are communicated to necessary team members.
  • Provides the contract grid for Board of Director approval.
  • Manages the credentialing process for Northpointe employees, contract employees, and sub-contracted service providers.
Requirements:

Qualifications

Education, Certifications, and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing contracts including customer relations, oversite, and monitoring of deliverables preferred.
  • Experience working with the tracking methodologies to collect, organize, and maintain documents.
  • Experience with credentialing of employees preferred.
  • Experience working in community mental health preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Must be knowledgeable and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical requirements and regulatory requirements applicable to the agency.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, plans, and policy/procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to a varied audience which may include staff, contract providers, community members, regulatory bodies, and the Board of Directors.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify areas of opportunity to decrease costs and improve contracted services.
  • Ability to research best practice, guidelines, and mandated requirements.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate team efforts to achieve goals of the agency.
  • Ability to effectively educate and provide thorough training using a variety of means to meet the needs of the audience.

  • Proficiency in computer software required in performing essential duties including the Microsoft Office applications.

Required Training
