Terra Pacific Group, Inc. is seeking a qualified and motivated Construction Safety Professional to join our growing team in Northern California. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience with remediation of contaminated sites and experience as a Construction Safety Professional for site remediation.
Terra Pacific Group, Inc. (TPG) is an established Environmental Engineering, Consulting, and Construction company with operations throughout California. We provide environmental engineering consulting services and construction management for a wide range of industries. Our site remediation services address all types of contaminants in soil and groundwater using conventional and cutting-edge technologies.
This is a great opportunity to join our growing Construction Services practice to address several exciting large scale and complex remediation construction projects in Northern California.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans and Job Hazard Analysis forms for environmental remediation projects that complies with OSHA, Client requirements, and TPG requirements.
- Complete Site-Specific Health and Safety orientation training for TPG and Subcontractor personnel.
- Work as an integral member of TPG’s Construction Management team to manage the Health and Safety program in the field implementing environmental remediation projects.
- Lead the implementation of a Safety Observation and Feedback Program through the use of Safety Observation Cards, reporting of observations and analyzing safety data.
- Complete incident investigations and root cause analyses as necessary.
- Oversee the activities of TPG subcontractors and effectively communicate with stakeholders during field activities.
- Assist TPG clients with compliance with federal, state and local health and safety regulations associated with remediation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of relevant Construction Safety experience with good working knowledge of established construction means and methods, heavy equipment resources, standards of practice, and OSHA construction safety.
- Ability to motivate TPG and subcontractor personnel to actively participate in a Safety Observation and Feedback Program.
- Environmental remediation field work experience and 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
- Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
- Interest in earning certification as an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or similar safety professional certification(s) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Effective written/verbal communication and leadership skills.
