Citnalta Construction Corp. is seeking to bring on a Construction Safety Manager to work at Citnalta's MTA transit project locations through the New York Metropolitan area and the organization's headquarters in Bohemia, NY.

Primary Responsibilities
- Work with project managers, superintendents, engineers within Citnalta and agency or subcontractor partners to ensure compliance with safety requirements and procedures
- Prepare and review safe work plans
- Conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential job-specific hazards and ensure project safety planning has been performed properly
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable rules and regulations for safety, including NYC DOB, OSHA, EPA, MTA
- Perform project site walk-throughs and safety monitoring
- Maintain a written log of safety inspection activities, reports and correspondence
- Provide safety training for employees on policies, procedures, rules and regulations
- Attend/present/ensure that orientations, pre-shift safety meetings, toolbox talks and safety stand-downs are conducted
- Immediately attend to and resolve complaints of unsafe conditions
- Inspect tools, equipment, and their usage to ensure that there are no unsafe workplace conditions
- Investigate accident, incident and near miss causes and potential hazards for use by Citnalta and external organizations/agencies
Requirements:
- Specific NYCT or MTA construction safety experience
- Five years professional experience in construction safety
- Maintain good organizational, leadership and motivational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and proactively drive safety culture
- CPR/First Aid
- OSHA 30 Construction Safety Training
- LL196 62 Hour Supervisor (SST) Training
- MTA Related Safety Training and Track Training
Preferred:
- OSHA 500, NYCDOB SSM/SSC, NYCFD S-56 Fire Safety Manager, NYCFD Certificates of Fitness, NYC ICR 59, and Board of Safety Professionals ASP, CSP or CHST
Other Skills and Abilities:
The physical demands are necessary to be met to serve the job requirements. The position requires the employee to walk frequently. The employee can be exposed to moving mechanical parts, inclement weather, heights, noise, and other external elements related to a construction site.
Citnalta offers generous salary, and benefits package including employer funded medical insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, vision, dental and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The salary range is $100,000 - $160,000 based on experience.
