General Responsibilities:
Exciting opportunity to partner with and provide support to engineering and project management staff on current and future projects. Join our Materials department in Lenexa, KS to assist with project delivery for construction materials testing and Special Inspection services on engineering and construction projects in the Kansas City region. The successful candidate will work with a dynamic team of engineering technicians, construction inspectors, engineers, geologists, and project professionals to deliver a great client experience on each project. Preferred candidate will have excellent communication skills, be very detail-oriented, and be customer service focused
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers with budgets, schedules, scope development, design and construction contracts, project setup, documents and deliverables for assigned projects
- Receive and process requests for proposals
- Support preparation and delivery of cost estimates, project proposals and contracts
- Assist with review of construction documents and prepare internal documents with testing requirements for assigned project
- Submit contracts for review and support negotiation process to achieve signed contracts for all projects
- May dispatch Technicians to project sited based on technician skill set, certifications, location, project and priority.
- Assist with project research and documentation in customer relationship management (CRM) system
- Assist Department Manager in many aspects of Materials department tasks/activities
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 to10 years related experience in engineering or construction support role
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
