ARS Brands, Inc. owns and operates more than 80 restaurants across 4 states. We are growing rapidly and always looking for quality candidates to join our team.
The Construction Manager plays a critical role in achieving ARS Brands' annual and long-term growth plans. Reporting directly to the Director of Development, the position is primarily responsible for the delivery of the brand through the successful completion and turnover of new and remodeled restaurants. The goal is to deliver completed projects in a timely manner while meeting development budgets and quality expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing up to 4 general contractors in the construction and/or remodeling of restaurants to meet time and budget commitments
- Conduct weekly NRO update calls to coordinate across all disciplines involved (i.e., Operations, Marketing, HR, etc.)
- Manage equipment ordering and delivery process
- Manage all vendor bidding and scheduling (i.e., signage, low voltage, etc.)
- Purchase and coordinate installation of owner-provided items
- Maintain cost control and budgeting for construction and remodel projects, including looking for ways to reduce costs and improve the quality of work.
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure efficient and smooth turnover following the completion of the project
- Conducts site visits to document whether construction general contractors are completing their work obligations in a timely manner and meeting quality standards
- Work with landlords throughout the process to ensure that construction design standards and lease terms are accurately being delivered
- Coordinate with the Director of Operations and District Manager to coordinate punch list walk-through immediately following construction completion and ensure all list items are completed in a timely manner
- Assist with the permitting and inspection process to ensure all proper approvals and licenses have been received
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- B.S. Degree in relevant field, (Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management), or commensurate experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in restaurant construction project management
- Ability to read architectural plans and engineered drawings
- Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills

- Thorough knowledge of construction terminology, materials, blueprints, and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and restaurant operations.

- Ability to interact effectively with vendors and employees at all levels of the organization.
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Teams
- Ability to travel (overnight included) to construction sites across 5 markets and other locations as needed
