Arcadis is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to support the Places business team. This position is located just outside of Napa, in Yountville, CA.

Role description:
As the Construction Field Engineer you will perform detailed technical inspections of buildings and facilities under construction or alteration. You will communicate these inspections to the State's Inspector of Record and have the opportunity to work with multiple individuals throughout the construction and alteration process.
Role accountabilities:
- Reports to the State’s Inspector of Record.
- Reads plans, specifications, building codes, and standards to determine project requirements.
- Makes detailed inspections of construction to verify compliance with approved construction documents and applicable codes.
- Prepares daily reports to account for important conditions, progress of the work, quality of materials and construction workmanship.
- Utilizes construction software, cell phone, and tablet to photograph, document, and report the status of construction work and inspections.
- Directs the work of special inspectors for material testing and special inspections in accordance with California Building Code Section 1705.
- Confirms and keeps records of time, materials, and number of craftspeople of various trades used in construction.
- Prepares correspondence and reports as required.
Qualifications & Experience:

- College degree with major in engineering (ME, CE, AE), architecture, or construction management.
- One or two years of full-time work experience as an architect's, engineer's, or owner's representative on building construction work.
- Possession of a valid driver license issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time positions. We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. This position is eligible for participating in a company bonus program. The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $89,700.
