RESPONSIBILITIES:
Along with the Director, act as a liaison and leads communication between the Business Configuration Unit, Claims dept., Contracting dept. and other departments whose processes and/or decisions could affect the system configuration in general. Analyze system behavior and provide recommendations to resolve operational issues. Supervision of Configuration personnel to ensure business rules and internal edits in the claims editing system are implemented, maintained and updated accordingly. Enforce employee individual performance according to unit’s metrics and as specified on the current version of the Employee Manual for MMM Holdings. Ensure custom solutions, hot fixes and/or upgrades to the claims payment systems are tested, certified and implemented as requested. Ensure communication on configurations updates and initiatives both within the Business Configuration Unit as well as across impacted departments. Document recommended solutions for requirements and gaps to streamline business processes. Maintain thorough and concise documentation for tracking of all provider, contract, and benefit configuration change requests for quality audit purposes. Define and analyze business goals, objectives, needs, processes and requirements. Recommend business and internal process changes. Lead and assist Business Configuration Unit resources with analysis and configuration of benefit plans, service groups, unit testing, and integration testing. Work with resources to develop test data, expected results and in executing, troubleshooting and resolving any configuration related issues. Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules. Ensures issues and potential risks are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner. Ensures BCU staff is trained on configuration enhancements and updates. Support complex claims or payment issues as identified. Performs the employee evaluations, according with the departmental goals individual results and individual performance. Also maintain individual One on One sessions with assigned personnel on a periodical basis, as mutually agreed with Director and according to established Company procedures on the current version of the Employee Manual. Assure compliance within assigned personnel on Company Code of Conduct, as well as internal Policies and Procedures. Maintain scheduled meetings with staff to discuss goals, new projects, unit indicators, etc. Responsible for analize and update the Unit Indicators to ensure that the unit meets with established goals and actions plans. Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
