Summary
Identify and translate Global EMC, RF and safety requirements into test plans that are applicable to the type of products. Lead projects with third party certification bodies and test laboratories to gain and maintain certification status of products. This is a hybrid role.
Responsibilities

Participate in NPI project meetings. read, interpret, and communicate changes in technical regulations, directives, and standards.

Review new and existing designs for compliance to the latest directives and standards.

Contributes to Marketing Requirements Documents and Technical Requirements Documents as needed to ensure relevant standards are referenced.

Work with engineering teams and support design reviews to applicable EMC, RF, and product safety standards.

Identify mitigation strategies on EMC design to prevent or minimize testing failure.

Update and maintain EU technical construction files and declaration of Conformities

Own and drive compliance testing and certification to RED, FCC, ISED, Japan MIC, Korea KCC, Brazil Anabel, PTCRB, AT&T, John Deere, KMT and other applicable domestic and international standards.

Debug marginal and failure tests with the compliance team and engineering.
Qualifications
-
B.S. degree in electrical engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline is required.

Minimum of 5 years of regulatory compliance experience in a testing lab or engineering project development environment with focus in EMC/EMI & safety.

Should have excellent knowledge of international EMC, RF and product safety standards pertaining to a broad range of electronic equipment, e.g. UL, FCC, ETSI, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, PTRCB, AT&T …etc.

Familiar with design requirements associated with EMI/RFI regulations

Solid project management skills and ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects during development and production stages

Proven ability to independently conduct verification and validation testing of products to determine compliance with applicable standard(s) as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Hands on experience with testing and evaluating digital and radio equipment to domestic and international EMC, RF, and product safety standards.

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
The base pay range 109K-125K is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
