The purpose of this job is to maintain the company’s self-insurance status in multiple states.
- Maintain the company’s self-insured status by monitoring the statutory requirements of each state, completing the annual re-application forms, and submitting them by the state deadline to avoid financial penalties
- Complete periodic quarterly and sub-annual assessment reports which determines the amount the company pays in assessments; ensure accurate reporting of payroll information to avoid paying more in assessments than required
- Produce monthly department reports to ensure the allocation of claim charges back to each location
- Create, maintain, and monitor preferred provider panels for all the company’s locations to ensure that each location has a valid panel posted for the treatment of work injuries
- Produce and distribute the 300-A reports to all locations to ensure OSHA compliance
- Assist with the annual insurance renewal by running needed reports and maintaining accurate property and tank schedules
- Provide direction and assistance to store personnel for the completion and reporting of losses and incidents
- Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent certification required
- Associates degree in business or a related field preferred
- Minimum two years’ of related work experience preferred
