Standards
Provide services to Day Reporting Center participants
Facilitate classes such as Anger Management, Parenting, Moral Reconation Therapy, Domestic Violence, Thinking for Good, Wellness, Budgeting, Hi-Set, Computer Essentials
· Maintain group ratios of 12:1
· Assist with schedule develop for participants in the DRC
· Maintain attendance/tardiness/absence records
Conduct Risk Needs Assessments
Strong-R Risk Needs Assessment, TCUD II, Addiction Severity Index
· Conduct assessments for offenders within 7 days of referral receipt
· Update Offender Management System with assessment scoring
· Conduct Reassessments as required per standards
Evaluate participant progress
Determine participants needs
Maintain records of programming
Determine payment plans and goals
· . Monitor and record payments of supervision fees/fines/restitution
· Assist participants with A&D treatment sources
· Develop Case plans for participants
Supervision of non-violent felony offenders
Conduct face to face visits, home visits, and drug screens
· Update OMS with Contact Notes with information pertinent to participant
· Update Case files in regards to drug screening, home visits, and visits
Pursue professional development and training opportunities
Tennessee Community Correction Pre-Service/ In-Service training
Tennessee Department of Correction yearly training
· Attend staff development training as requested by Coordinator/Director
· Attend department meetings and provide updates on activities/progress.
· Attend program weekly team meeting.
Computer and general office duties
Professional phone skills, Computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook, Correspondence with outside resources
· OMS in OneDrive and Microsoft Teams
· Email treatment providers via Outlook to ensure participant compliance in inpatient residential treatment
· Develop warrants to submit to Court for non-compliance issues
· Develop forms to maintain compliance with programming requirements

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to issues of addiction and mental health
- High energy level, enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control
- Show demonstrated ability to interact with people of different cultures
- Ability to work as a team member and independently
- Ability to adapt easily to changes in daily schedule
- Recognize and respond to opportunities for problem solving
- Willingness to work nights and some weekend hours
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to take direction from supervisor
- Continue to develop skills as a case officer through self-reflection and continuing education
- Working knowledge of available local community services
- Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft OneDrive and Microsoft 365 with accuracy.
- Core Competencies: time management, attention to detail, customer service interpersonal skills, caring, and reliable.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
- Experience working with offenders and/or vulnerable populations
- Vehicle, insurance, and valid driver’s license
- Must meet insurance driving record standards
- Physically capable of doing general office work
- Ability to become certified in First Aid and CPR procedures
- Must maintain clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Employees in this job position are subject to random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, drug and/or alcohol screenings.
Note: This position requires a criminal background check. Therefore, applicants may be required to provide information about their criminal history in order to be considered for this position.
Work Environment
This position functions in diverse work environments including offender homes, judicial court, and in a general office environment.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position at 37.5 hours per week. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
