Job Description
The Albemarle Global Lithium Business seeks an Operations Specialist for our Kings Mountain Mining Project site. This position will report to the Community Affairs Manager, with the chief responsibility to manage all operations within targeted community activities.
Principle Accountabilities
- Manage all aspects of daily operational activities for the Community Affairs team
- Support CA team budget operations, including vendor management, invoice processing, and business expenses
- Facilitate all internal and external tour requests and logistics in collaboration with the Kings Mountain site team and Resources group
- Lead the management of community engagement reporting, including data input, community outreach, and oversite of the relationship management platform
- Support the implementation of shared value programs, such as the Kings Mountain Gateway Trail partnership from an operational perspective
- Implement and maintain efficient grant processing, once launched, for all community investments, including internal approvals and reporting
- Work with Communications team on the distribution of critical internal and external communications such as emails, company and community updates, and announcements
- Work closely with other staff members for efficiency opportunities and provide support on other projects and tasks as requested
- Serve as operational lead for the Community Affairs Project Center office
- Manage operations and logistics of events and meetings as required
- Engage with local community members as required

- Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
- Effective communication, including speaking, writing, and active listening
- Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- An ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Experience handling event operations
- A passion for engaging with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment while remaining upbeat and positive
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive information
- Ability to work on site in Kings Mountain required
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
