At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. A Co-Op Business student will participate in an effective multidisciplinary team with the overall impact of ensuring compliance with Software Lifecycle Management and quality requirements. Under supervision, the individual will work with Managers, Software Owners and Subject Matter Experts across multiple functions (e.g., Engineering, Regulatory Strategy and Integration, Business Services, etc.). Activities include reviewing software documentation for completeness, correctness, and compliance with requirements and procedures, and helping software owners to modify and improve documentation as where necessary. Candidate must work well with other CPCCo personnel and exhibit strong writing and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Interacting with DOE during assessments.
- Ensuring information provided in software lifecycle documentation is complete and correct.
- Assisting software owners and SMEs with compliance issues.
- Requirements traceability matrix preparation.
- Preparation of document and procedure changes.
- Preparation or modification of standard templates and forms.
- Coordinating with multiple organizations to maintain a positive compliance posture.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
* U.S. citizen.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Willing and able to work 20-32 hours a week.
- Committed to staying in school full-time until graduating.
- Enrolled full-time, as determined by the institution, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate status.
- Has maintained an overall GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or greater throughout college experience.
- Actively enrolled full-time in a degree program in Environmental Science, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical discipline with WSU Tri-Cities, CBC or another accredited university/college.
Desired Qualifications
* Ability to research topics for compliance with DOE and NQA-1 requirements.
- Excellent organization, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior internship or work experience at either a DOE site or elsewhere.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting hourly rate ranges from $17.00 to $24.70, depending on academic standing (sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate) and degree discipline.
In accordance with the Service Contract Act, this position is also eligible for the health & welfare wage adder of up to $4.23 per hour.
