Responsibilities:
Sabre Systems is hiring a remote Cloud Engineer/DevOps to support one of our government customers located in Southern Maryland at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Sabre will provide technical, analytical, and managerial support for the PEO(A) Advanced Development Team (ADT) in the following areas: Program Management, General/Technical Support; Operations Support; Cybersecurity/Information Assurance; Application Integration; Cloud Services; Data Architecture, Design Engineering, and Management Support; Digital Solutions and Technology Development and Acceleration/Development Security Operations (DevSecOps) Support; and Virtual / Digital Integrated Modeling Environment (IME) and Capability Based Acquisition (CBA) Support. Selected candidate will:

• Provide engineering support to a AWS GovCloud environment with a large user base in a cross functional team utilizing DevSecOps
• Performs programmatic or technical leadership roles in an organization identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and guide the engineering development of modern complex systems and to employ systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems and when appropriate, conduct research in applied systems engineering to advance the field.
• Design, implement and manage highly available AWS infrastructure that meets business needs and technical requirements
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous delivery and deployment of applications and services
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring using GitOps
• Monitor and troubleshoot health and performance of AWS infrastructure, applications and services
• Collaborate with developers, testers and other customers to ensure successful integration and delivery of applications and services
• Support the planning and execution of the migration of services from on-premise infrastructure
• Support security hardening of the environment and systems using DoD Cyber policy guidance
• Plan and manage work with the larger engineering team using Agile methodology
• Maintain documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration

Desired Skillsets:

• Familiarization with DoD RMF process and policies
• 8570 Compliant
• Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
• AWS Cloud experience
• GitOps tooling – Python, Ansible, Terraform
• Agile
• Familiarization with DevSecOps
• Containerization

Qualifications:
BA/BS or MA/MS degree in the applicable functional area and ten (10) years of experience performing related work is required
Typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently.
Additional Specialized Experience: At least (3) three years of experience directly related to Naval systems.
Demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering expertise is required.
Candidate must pass a Background investigation

An Active DoD secret clearance or higher is required
Must be a US Citizen

• Bachelor’s Degree - 6 years’ additional applicable work experience or demonstrated specialized expertise may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree
• Associate’s Degree plus 4 years’ additional work experience or demonstrated specialized expertise may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree
• Master’s Degree - Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years additional work experience or demonstrated specialized expertise may be substituted for a Master’s
