Seeking Part-Time Clinical Therapist to Join Expanding Practice for spring 2023 Start Date with Potential to Increase to Full-Time

Job Description:
The Nurturing Space Counseling, PLLC is a growing boutique clinical private practice specializing in women’s mental health and wellness. The mission of The Nurturing Space Counseling is to help women of all ages and walks of life to move from surviving to thriving and claim a sense of safety, security and confidence within all of the various contexts of their lives. Our therapists strive to provide evidence-based trauma-informed care to support healthy processing and recovery from the experiences that have contributed to present dysfunction in a compassionate and nurturing setting.

The Nurturing Space Counseling, PLLC is seeking to employ a Licensed Clinical Social worker, Professional Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist to provide in-person and remote clinical outpatient therapy services for teens, young adult and adult women. We are ISO of a clinician who has experience with providing treatment for anxiety, depression, complex/relational trauma; eating disorders; body image issues; attachment issues; LGBTQ issues and/ or relationship issues. If this describes you and you are a highly motivated self-starter who is skilled in clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions and you have experience with treatment approaches including, EMDR, TF-CBT/ CBT, DBT, somatic therapies and / or Ego State therapies/ parts work, you may be just the right fit for our team!
Preference will be given to:

  • Candidates who have completed basic or advanced training in EMDR and are comfortable using this treatment approach.
  • Candidates who have specialized training in treating trauma and eating disorders
  • Candidates who have a minimum of one year working with teens and young adult / adult women
  • Candidates who are already credentialed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of MI and/ or other health insurance companies that are widely utilized in northern Michigan/ State of Michigan
  • Candidates who have an active CAQH profile

A demonstrated ability to be on time, commitment to ethical practice, attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Candidates who are HUNGRY, HUMBLE and SMART and who bring creativity, ability to think outside the box and a collaborative spirit are highly sought after! Position being offered is for a W2 employee position, not an independent contractor.

Requirements: Michigan Licensure-LMSW, LPC, LMFT, will consider perfect fit LLMSW

  • Must be able to commit to building a minimum of 15 client sessions per week for part- time status.
  • Must be able to commit to at least two later day schedule offerings during school year (working until 6:30-7:00PM) to accommodate after school appointments.
