WHO ARE YOU?

The Clinical Director holds a key leadership position within this program. In this role, you will work alongside several special education and clinical experts in the field. You will be responsible for developing and continuing the strategic enhancement opportunities that are provided at Chicopee School designed to meet the unique needs of this population of students. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the application of behavior analytic principles to address learning difficulties and problem behavior.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee and supervise up to five classrooms for students diagnosed with autism and related disabilities
  • Supervise behavior analysts in all aspects of programming including:
  • Functional behavior assessment (including functional analysis) and development of behavior support plans
  • Development and implementation of programs to enhance student skills in the areas of social communication and interaction
  • Staff training and professional development
  • Develop, implement, and monitor clinical training systems to support teachers and behavior specialists in the implementation of educational curricula and application of ABA principles in the classroom
  • Familiarity and experience with both skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments and treatment approaches, including but not limited to the ABLLS and VB-MAPP, Discrete Trial Instruction, Natural Environment teaching and Functional Analysis
  • Provide support and training to ensure continuity of care
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including educational staff and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality implementation of evidence-based practices
  • Participate in the school leadership team guiding systems-change and capacity building in applied behavior analysis
  • Provide BCBA supervision as needed
  • Development and implementation of staff training and provision of ongoing clinical supports to enhance student skill acquisition
  • Attend IEP meetings and support team with development of IEP goals
  • Provide classroom crisis management support
  • Work with students directly, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in behavior analysis, education, or related field required
  • Certification as a BCBA or BCBA-D for at least 1 year required; eligible to provide BCBA supervision preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience providing behavioral services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities required
  • Skilled in effective supervision, team building, problem solving and staff training
  • At least 3 years' experience in supervision and staff training
