The Leaf Affair Cigar Shop and Lounge is a Veteran-Family owned and operated small business located in Salado, Texas. We are looking for a self-motivated employee with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills who takes pride in their work, is interested in working in the cigar industry as a retail associate and is willing to work in a smoke friendly environment. This is a part time job including weekends (Wednesday to Sunday) but might require the associate to work close to 40 hours a week from time to time. Applicants must be 21 year of age or older, must have some knowledge about cigars and some retail experience, and must have reliable transportation.

Typical duties include but are not limited to: All sales activities to include greeting customers, checking ID, answering questions about cigar products and accessories, offering assistance, answering a telephone, suggesting items and providing product information, locating items in the humidor, lending opinions, preparing online, curve side and pickup orders, utilizing the Point of Sale (POS) system and counting money, keeping the lounge area clean and neat to include wiping surfaces, cleaning glass, sweeping and mopping, emptying the trash, cleaning glassware, etc. Applicant must be able to safely stand on a step ladder to put up and/or retrieve product in order to keep the sales floor stocked and/or to make a sale. Excellent verbal communication skills are a must!

Job Type: Part-time

Starting Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour (Starting pay rate will be determined by experience and pay raises by work performance.)

Pay frequency: Every other week

Schedule: Flexible, weekdays and weekends

Store hours:

1:00 - 8:00 pm (Wednesday, Thursday and Sundays)

1:00 - 10 pm (Friday and Saturday)

Experience: Retail/Sales experience and Cigar knowledge

Education: High school or equivalent
