We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join our team at Coastal Community Action! CCA is a private nonprofit corporation providing a variety of services to a target population of low-income children and families in ten counties in eastern NC, with a mission of empowering them to become self-sufficient.

The successful candidate will serve as a member of the Executive Team working closely with the Executive Director, Human Resources Director and Program Directors; as well as the ability to work well with diverse service programs and personalities.

What You'll Do:

• Direct the financial affairs of the agency and prepares financial analyses of operations.
• Oversee the agency's Finance department including banking, billings, collections, cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, and compliance matters.
• Oversee government contracting activities, administrative and risk management functions.
• Ensure all financial records and systems are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Maintain compliance with OMB circulars.
• Prepare compliance audits and 990.
• Budgeting and Grant Funding Reporting.
• Prepare Cost Allocation Plans.
• Prepare Indirect Cost Rate Proposals.
• Supervise finance department (includes 2-3 direct reports)

What You'll Have:

• A Master’s degree in finance and/or Accounting
• Nonprofit grant funding experience
• Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in finance administration
• COVID-19 vaccination required
