Job description
Chemical Engineering Manager
An opportunity exists for a specialty chemical manufacturer with twenty plants worldwide that manufacture chemical intermediates, additives, and specialty chemicals.
He or she will report to the Plant Manager and oversee six chemical engineers who support three PSM-regulated processing units employing 500 people. The processing units include reactors, distillation columns, crystallizers, mixers, filters, and dryers.
There will be a focus on developing control strategies, tuning loops, analyzing energy, and analyzing data for optimizing plant processes.
Also included in this group are plant design projects.
The site has a full contingent of production, electrical, and reliability engineers. Stock options and a bonus are available for this position.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (Chemistry)
- A minimum of 10 years out of any PSM-regulated chemical or petrochemical plant.
- Supervision, process optimization, and design through installation are all required.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
