Channel Marketing Manager, Residential (Schlage Lock)
The Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and activating channel marketing activities and programs for Allegion Home with a focus on our single-family builder channel. This position is a key touch point between Allegion and our single-family builder channels, ensuring that sales/channel input feeds into the marketing and product campaigns as well as ensuring successful adoption of programs, promotions, product launches, and support for single-family builders and our sales teams. This role will work closely with sales, product management, brand solutions marketing, cross-functional channel leaders, finance, global digital business, and builders to establish and manage a complete marketing strategy.
What You Will Do:

Develops channel commercialization plans and budgets to support NPD and serve as channel representative throughout the NPD process. Work with cross-functional teams to assist with new product set-up. Manage new product introductions marketing efforts in builder channel including collateral development, demand creation plans, communication strategy, training tools and execution

Execute brand and marketing communication plans for the builder channel, overseeing the design and content development of promotional programming, including print, showroom merchandising signage or displays and channel specific marketing support materials. Ensure consistency with brand standards by working closely with creative and brand teams

Manage multiple projects / priorities simultaneously, including how to establish priorities serving a diverse stakeholder group. Understand how to prioritize work and projects to meet deadlines / expectations

Demonstrate expertise with working with multiple stakeholders and stakeholder groups. Strength for building trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including the ability to manage up, down and across the matrix to complete projects on time and with accuracy

Understand the distribution models of the channel and dealer and wholesaler relationships and dynamics of the builder customers including buying behaviors and motivators

Lead and partner with 3rd party vendors and agencies as needed as well as manage ongoing relationships, oversee all workflows, invoicing, and budgeting

Own Single Family Merchandising Program and develop merchandising strategies for displaying and promoting products in the builder channel. Optimize results based on usage, product sales and customer feedback. Manage entire life cycle of merchandising from concept, pilot, budgeting and sunsetting as needed. Manage work of employee dedicated part-time to merchandising

Manage key builder trade shows, building them into the overall plans to help drive promotion of new products and customer relationship development. Work closely with trade show manager on show logistics and planning.

Manage and maintain communications to channel sales teams including team calls, product updates and communications and new employee onboarding. Serve as trusted resource for remote sales teams for corporate resources and tools. Act as communication hub between multiple functional areas including channel sales, brand, product and various internal functions

Responsible for managing resources and budget for all assigned marketing programs with proactive communication and escalation on issues and opportunities. Provide budget forecasts for channel marketing projects and activities

Represents builder channel in key internal forums, foster collaborative, and efficient working relationships

Influence and lead others both internally and externally to get more mind share and results for builder channel and be an internal advocate for partners among key stakeholders

Direct and coordinate channel specific programs and tools including indirect dealer programs. Responsible for increasing growth of usage and sales. Work closely with channel sales managers, accounting and commercial field marketing collaborating on cross-functional tools such an authorized seller program, 360 Portal and Channel Growth Programs

Participation in joint activities with the Allegion Home marketing organization including project planning, brand strategy, pricing/discount strategy, customer research and marketing communications
What You Need to Succeed:
Qualifications and Experience

Excellent project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively
-
Ability to manage multiple initiatives, channel partners, and stakeholders simultaneously to drive independent outcomes

Experience with B2B marketing preferred
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple different audiences, both internally and externally
-
BA/BS in Marketing or Business, MBA preferred
-
Minimum 7 years’ experience in marketing and/or product management
-
Strong Project Management experience with the ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and delegate work effectively
-
Experience in commercializing new products
-
Experience with a CRM (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)

Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluency in written and conversational English
-
Ability to work independently as well as a member of cross-functional teams
-
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point software

Ability to travel up to 25%
-
Adaptability to ever-changing situations and a fast-paced work environment
-
Experience with Builder Material Manufacturer preferred

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

The expected Base Salary Range: $70,700 – 131,300. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
