Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant position is a full-time position for a large primary care facility serving multiple providers. Front & Back medical assisting skills will be utilized.

Job Description

Demonstrates basic medical/technical competence and a general knowledge of medical instruments and laboratory functions.

Ensures courteous, appropriate and professional customer service is provided to patients in person and over the phone.

Maintains basic duties required for medical assisting including rooming and obtaining vital signs, monitoring patient flow within the clinic and updating accurate patient records.

Ensures patient encounters and corresponding documents are completed, interactions are recorded, and transmitted promptly and accurately with adherence to HIPAA regulations.

Demonstrates effective and professional communication with providers, staff members and patients.

Proactive in ensuring completeness of all back AND front office tasks and duties including prescription concerns, promptly responding to voicemails and messages, notifying appropriate channels of stock/supply shortages, and overall cleanliness of the building.

Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and other staff by taking responsibility for your own personal health and safety by ensuring your work practices do not provide a hazard to others.

Ensures building security by following company protocols.

Any other duties the Employer may reasonably require you to perform.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
