Certified Medical Assistants - We are seeking experienced medical assistants to work directly with the providers in the care and treatment of patients. Texas Pain Consultants is a growing private practice specializing in interventional pain treatment. Our team is made up of dedicated staff with a common goal of quality healthcare and shared success. We are looking for individuals with a great work ethic, positive attitude, dependable, high attention to detail and accuracy to complete our winning team of professionals.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Charting and updating EMR
  • Creating and tracking procedure/radiology/laboratory test orders
  • Assist the physician/nurse practitioner during exams and medical procedures
  • Advise patients of medical recommendations and test results
  • Document and enter medication and prescription refills under the supervision of the physician
  • Ensure safety and practice procedures are followed including HIPAA Guidelines
  • Answer patient calls/questions/post procedure follow-up
  • Able to follow instruction-attention to detail-high accuracy
  • Any other tasks as needed

Required

  • High school diploma required
  • Medical assistant certification from an accredited program preferred
  • At least two years of experience in a clinical setting; prior interventional pain clinic preferred but not required
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience working in EMR, proper documentation, medical records handling, ability to successfully multi-task
  • Kind, professional and patience interacting with patients
  • High attention to detail in a fast- paced professional environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
