We are looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients homes in accordance with an established care plan.
Responsibilities:
Maintain home care records that include any changes in nursing assessment or plan of care, diet or personal living activities
Recognize, document and report changes in patient/client condition and safety to supervisor.
Handle all paperwork such as client assessments and activity sheets with confidentiality and return on time to the office to ensure accuracy in maintain client’s charts and payroll.
Attend in-services and provide requested documents to keep employee file current.
Utilize infection control measures such as universal precautions, hand washing, and personal protective equipment.
Treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
Exceptional organization and detail-oriented skills

Personal Care:
Bathing
Skin Care
Foot Care
Shampooing Hair
Shaving
Dressing Assistance
Assist with Ambulation and Transfers
Assist with Toileting and Incontinence Care
Light Housekeeping Functions defined as:
Make the Bed
Changing Linens as needed or requested
Clean up of bathroom after use
Light dusting of living areas
Laundry as requested
Sweep, Mop, or Vacuum of living area
Wiping Down Kitchen Counters and Appliances
Do Dishes
Taking Out Garbage
Other duties:
Assist with meal preparation and feeding
Getting client’s mail
Medication reminders
Accompanying patients to doctor’s appointments
Doing Food Shopping or Medication pick up
Companionship
Assist with Physical Therapy or ROM exercise
Home Health Aide may not:
Perform any skilled nursing procedure, which is prohibited by stated, federal, or local law or regulation.
Requirements and Skills:
Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Graduate of a training and competency program as required by State and Federal Regulations.
Have CHHA certification issued from the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
Meets applicable health requirements to provide patient/client care.
Meets the requirements of federal and/or state criminal and abuse background checks where applicable.
Must have you own reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
Have (2) positive references and pass a written company and complete Home Health Aide Competency Examination.
Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks or functions.
Able to effectively communicate with clinical and non-clinical individuals.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
Work is normally performed in a patient's home and may involve occasional exposure to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens and/or potentially infectious or hazardous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment (i.e face masks, goggles, latex and or non-latex gloves).
Medium physical activity that may require frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 Ibs.
Ability to lift reposition, and transfer patients/clients.
Ability to carry bundles such as groceries and laundry up or down stairs and lift with or without assistance.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and reach freely and assist clients with standing and walking.
Ability to hear, speak, and write in a manner understood by most people.
Ability to grasp with thumb in opposition to fingers of palm (i.e. DME supplies, knobs, and objects).
Ability to read 8 point type or larger.
Ability to travel from client to client as needed.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
