TFE is currently seeking a Records Clerk to help to support our work in the Central Characterization Program (CCP) at WIPP. Come work with TFE, Inc. (TFE) to support missions critical to our Nation’s national security.

The CCP Records Clerk III will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in preparing and

scanning documents into digital images for storage while maintaining the physical archives. This includes processing incoming Generator Site records as well as Project Office records, checking for legibility and completeness, scanning into a records server, entering records in the a records software system and maintaining the active file records sets. This also includes transferring records no longer needed in the active files to the Archives as applicable.

The CCP Records Clerk III will need to follow organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. They will need to be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures. They will perform a variety of complicated tasks and might direct and lead the work of others. They will report to CCP Records Manager. The clerk will perform other duties as needed. The outcome of this work has a high impact on federal regulatory status, compliance, indexing, and timely access of information.

Responsibilities

  • Checks records for legibility and completeness.
  • Scans Records into the Record Server.
  • Signs and Faxes Transmittals back to the generator sites as applicable.
  • Upload Record into the Integrated data system.
  • Maintains active files of records as applicable.
  • Transfers records to the WRA as needed.
  • Will pull records for corrections as needed.
  • Updates the corrections into the Record server.
  • Supplies Records for audits, assessment, inspections, and surveillances.
  • Provides excellent customer service to the customer.
  • Processes records in a timely manner.
  • Helps supports audits and assessments when needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in the records management field or in a related area.

Necessary Skills

  • Must possess excellent organizational and clerical skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task.
  • Must exhibit strong professional and communications skills.
  • Must have basic computer skills and familiarity with the postal system.
  • Would be willing to travel for up to a week at a time to various locations if needed.

**Anyone who lifts containers, pushes carts/U-boats, or enters the warehouse must wear steel-toed boots or a composite equivalent

This is a full-time position located in our Carlsbad office following a 4/10 work schedule.
