Our Glenner Center in Encinitas, an Adult Day Center specializing in care for those affected by Alzheimer’s and other related dementia's since 1982 is seeking a Caregiver or CNA. We are a smaller day center serving up to 30 participants. Caregiver / CNA will assist greeting the participants in the morning as they arrive to the Center, assist with very light personal care, assist with serving lunch and/or afternoon snack, and 1:1 or small group activities. Must enjoy having fun, and smiling and laughing. We are looking for Caregivers/CNA's who want to bring some joy and happiness to the participants who have Alzheimer's and other related dementia's and want to feel rewarded at the end of the day.

Currently seeking Caregivers/CNA to work F/T schedule time 9:00 am - 5:00 pm M-F. Part-time: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, flexible days. Willing to accommodate student schedules. No nights, week-ends or major holidays. Major holidays are paid.

Qualifications

• Experience with the chronically impaired elderly adult.
• Good humor and compassion for elderly
• High school education or equivalent.
• Able to communicate in English written and orally
• Physically able to perform requirements of the position
• Capability to properly interact with staff, participants, families and volunteers.
• Ability to comply with State and County licensing regulations.
• Ability to understand and adhere to Glenner Center policies and procedure.
• Team Player a must

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.30 - $16.50 per hour
