Hello, We are located about 40 minutes outside of Portland in the Beavercreek/Mulino area and our trim room is open for the year! We can offer positions for full-time, part-time or seasonal work. If you are working at other farms we can work with you as long as we have the schedule worked out the week beforehand. We can accommodate shifts from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, or 9 AM to 5:30 PM. Please have previous experience because we don’t do much coaching and it’s up to you to meet the daily totals! Experienced trimmers generally have no problem breaking 1.5 pounds per day to put them into the maximum pay grade. You will be paid at the end of each work week, so if you work M-F you will leave with your check on Friday afternoon! Pay Rates: Per 8 hour shift
$20/hr - 681g +
$17.50/hr - 500g - 681g
$15/hr - 400 - 500g
$13.5/hr - Under $400g and will not be asked back!
Cannananda Farm Trim Team Procedures:
-Any person working on an OLCC farm must have an OLCC certified cannabis handlers permit on their person at all times when inside the licensed canopy area. Bring this to work every day. If someone needs to print one they can use our computer.
-Please show up prepared to work a full 8 hour shift.
-Park at the main grow building off to the sides of the parking lot or driveway. Then walk to the trim building located behind the house.
-Sign in on the visitors log before starting your shift located inside the door of the trim building.
-Follow all food handlers procedures when handling medicine. There is a sink for handwashing inside the grow building and a spicket with soap outside of the trim building.
-Please do not eat in the trim room during the work shift. If you have a drink please make sure it has a lid.
-Do not consume alcohol, cannabis, or any other controlled substances at work
-Do not bring backpacks, coolers or totes into the trim room. Leave any personal belongings not needed for work in your car or at home.
-Do not use foul language, make inappropriate comments or engage in controversial topics in the trim room.
-Please carry out any garbage from the trim room and throw it away in receptacles in the main parking lot in front of the main grow building.
-If you need to plug in/unplug any lights that are hard to reach use the step stool provided in the trim room. DO NOT stand on buckets, chairs or anything other than the step stool or safety ladder.
-There must be a minimum of 2 people inside the trim room at all times during shifts or breaks
-Do not intentionally rub any of the flower against trim trays to produce Keif. Removing Keif or any type of cannabis product is forbidden by OLCC law.
-Everyone should start their shift ideally at the same time. If someone arrives late please use take your breaks at the same time as the rest of the team.
Labeling/Weighing:
-Every bag of flower and trim must be labeled. If there is an existing label please wipe it off with Isopropyl Alcohol and replace with the new label. Also put your initials on each bag that you trim along with the strain name. At the end of the day please log your name, strains trimmed and weights produced in the log in the trim room. Trimmed material should be kept separate by strain and left in a labeled tote at the end of the day.
End of The Day Checklist:
-All lights must be OFF in the trim room. If you need to plug in/unplug any lights that are hard to reach use the step stool provided in the trim room. DO NOT stand on buckets, chairs or anything other than the step stool.
-All bags labeled with strain name and initials
-Weights marked into the log in the trim room
-Scales powered OFF and unplugged
-Wipe off trim tables and remove trash
-Everyone should leave at the end of the day at same time and lock the door to the trim building upon exiting
Providing Supplies:
We will provide all supplies needed for trimming EXCEPT for scissors.
Covid Prevention:
-Employees must be notified within 24 hours if there is a COVID outbreak
-Wear a surgical mask(we provide) or N95 mask
-Maintain 6’ social distancing at all times, unless it is not feasible in situations such as heavy lifting or a job can not be otherwise completed.
-Please stay at home if you start to feel sick or are living with someone else who is sick.
