Business Systems Analyst (REMOTE)

This role is 100% REMOTE - Must be in the US
Foot Locker is seeking a Businees Systems Analyst to help solves organizational information problems, gathering data requirements and designing, building, and supporting data flows through multiple applications. This is for someone who is a researcher at heart and will drive the analysis and documentation for our customer loyalty team. You will assist with both development and testing throughout the SDLC to be sure teams are working with the appropriate data to assist in thier design and testing. This is a versatile and analytics driven role that will help impact the companies loyalty inititives in many different ways through driving consistent and accurate data, KPI's and documentation.
- Studies business functions; gathers information; evaluates data input and output requirements and formats
- Designs new/updated data definitions by analyzing requirements; constructing data flow/system charts and diagrams; writing data specifications
- Works with Analytics teams to ensure data meets reporting requirements and supports gathering of data for KPI’s
- Understands and documents data definition, data flows
- Participates in project teams by participating in requirements & design efforts
- Assists in testing efforts
- Researches production issues by analyzing data in multiple databases
- Resolves project issues; recommends actions
- Manages and communicates project and support activities
- Provides references for users by writing and maintaining data dictionary
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Math or related field from an accredited university or college preferred
Skills
- Proficient in SQL and structured/relational databases; familiarity with unstructured big data analysis
- Knowledge of analytical tools R or Python a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experienced in BI data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) a plus
- Experience with Cosmos, DataBricks, Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server a plus
- A self-motivated team player
- Experience with Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics a plus
- Software development and testing processes
- Data conditioning in support of testing
- Technical documentation; knowledge base maintenance (e.g., Confluence, Sharepoint)
- Data Flow Diagramming (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart)
- Process Improvement
The annual base salary range is $70,000-90,000 This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
