NATIVE, Inc./Native American Development Center is seeking a Business Manager.
Every day as the Business Manager, you will play a key role on the administrative team serving as a central point of contact for administrative support activities for the NATIVE, Inc. and NADC, coordinating on-going projects affecting multiple functions of the organization, and completing fiscal responsibilities such as reviewing travel vouchers for accuracy and utilizing a purchasing card for routine purchases. This role will serve as the Executive Assistant to the CEO providing support on all matters as assigned and will also serve as back-up to the Finance duties as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate day to day office-related administration including Bookkeeping and HR functions
- Work cooperatively with Executive Director and program directors to meet the goals of each program
- Administrative functions: create and maintain spreadsheets, correspondence, mailings, database management for grant reporting and reimbursements
- Human Resource functions: confidentially manage the HR administration in coordination with HR contractor, the CEO and program director(s), recruit for open positions, manage the coordination of the hiring process, process new employees, maintain separation paperwork, assist with new hire orientations, manage benefits enrollment, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Bookkeeping functions: basic financial bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivables including billing and coding for Medicaid services, bank account deposits, employee and client expense requests, payroll and other financial functions, oversees budget management from multiple funding sources, auditing of accounts and bank reconciliation
- Contract and Grant Oversight functions: responsible for overall contract and grant monitoring and communications (i.e., manage calendar deadlines for grants and contract reporting to CEO and program director(s) in advance of due dates)
- Provide detailed reports to CEO with respect to the organizations’ progress; oversee center managed care contracts with third party payers including Medicaid
- Understanding and conceptualizing tracking of multi-sourced funding for budget lines items
- Ensuring programs are compliant with financial, regulatory, and contractual guidelines
- Working with NATIVE, Inc.’s finance and administrative team
- Managing and maintaining spreadsheets
- Generating and submitting bills and financial reports
- Tracking and monitoring vendor contracts and authorizations
- Addressing and resolving billing issues in a timely and accurate manner
- Assisting with client bank accounts
- Assist with Auditing
- Overseeing purchases of goods and services; oversee and manage the supplies budget and submits monthly report by class to CEO
- Serve as back-up to the Finance duties as needed.

To be considered for this role, you must have at least three (3) years of full-time work experience involving a variety of complex and executive level office support.

Location: This position is based in NATIVE, Inc.’s and Native American Development Center’s headquartered office in Bismarck, North Dakota and will require you to work in-person onsite Monday through Friday, during normal daytime hours.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting or Health Care Administration desired, extensive OR relevant experience accepted in lieu of a degree
- Ability to pass background check is mandatory for this position
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical office
- Medicaid Billing and Coding experience
- QuickBooks and cost accounting: 3 years’ experience
