The Business Management Coordinator is responsible for completing and/or coordinating all tasks required for running the business side of the LAMP-Kinship program.
I. Marketing and Public Relations
- Establish community relationships by developing, promoting, and leading the organization’s public relations and marketing strategies.
- Prepares and executes a comprehensive schedule and content for public speaking engagements with LAMP-Kinship’s partners,government entities, professional associations, church and civic groups, businesses, and schools. Where the mission of LAMP-Kinship is effectively communicated, adult partners and volunteers recruited, and funds solicited, including sustainable funding.
- Coordinates others to help with marketing and public relation engagements on an as needed basis throughout the year.
II. Financial Management
- Assists the Board in preparing the annual operating budget. Report to the board exceptions to the budget.
- Pay bills, deposits, entries in QB including categorizing and matching. Runs and distributes monthly financial reports.
- Leads and manages all donor development activities including entries in program database, donation acknowledgements (public & personal), contributes financial info for the quarterly newsletter and annual report.
- Research and develop plan for annual grant-writing including preparing the information to be submitted for the grant request. Completing and submiting grant requests. Monitoring the outstanding grant requests until each is brought to conclusion. Maintaining records and providing follow up reporting required by grant donor.
- Manages the planning and execution of all fundraising activities including leading the fundraising and revenue generating committees. Prepares an annual fundraising plan. Solicits the involvement of staff, board members and volunteers to successfully execute each fundraising opportunity. Solicits funds and in-kind donations for fundraising activities from organizations, churches, businesses, and individuals.
Qualifications:
Minimum High School graduate. Previous experience in non-profit organization, donor development, grant writing, preferred. Must have excellent public speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication skills to work with a wide variety of professionals, community leaders, and volunteers. Effective management and delegation of assignments and tasks; organizational skills and the ability to concurrently manage numerous tasks. Must be computer literate and experienced with database applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and QuickBooks. A flexible schedule is required to accommodate evening or weekend activities.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
