Danfoss is currently hiring for a Business Development Manager to join our Climate Solutions team. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, driven and experienced Business Development Manager for our Electric Heating products in USA, located preferably in New York state.
You will join a dynamic team, part of our Accelerator Division in Danfoss Climate Solutions. This division has been created to unleash the full growth and value potential of promising businesses, in a unique and agile environment. Our Electric Heating products are recognized by their quality and reliability, and we believe we are geared for significant growth in USA, with a fast-growing market in the East Coast for both indoor and outdoor applications over the coming years.
You will develop, supported by the BU, a clear go-to-market strategy for the US market, while collaborating with the local team to generate pipelines and deliver sales targets. This includes identifying opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and preparing a plan for strategy execution. To be successful, you will launch market-build activities with an inclusive approach, prioritizing efforts to maximize business targets while developing long term opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Define the vision, develop and execute on the GTM strategy for the US market, and cascade this for key accounts and sales representatives/agents
- Establish account strategies, portfolio plans, and financial targets with the business unit
- Prepare business proposals with both commercial and technical inputs
- Explore avenues to enhance value for our customers, and provide feedback to our innovation portfolio to ensure customer-centricity
- Continuously engage with customers and Sales Channels through regular visits
- Support locally relevant projects as required (i.e., UL certification, …)
- Ensure business and sales development to meet profitable growth aspirations, with timeline follow up and with an open communication with the global BU team

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:
- You have strong work ethics, you are commercially savvy, possess business acumen and are also a strategic thinker
- You have a Masters/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration or related field
- You are recognized as an expert in the HVAC channel, preferably in electrical heating sales & applications
- You have commercial and technical experience working closely with sales representatives, electric WHS’s and Distribution channels
- You have proven experience of 5-8 years. Proximity to the HVAC/Electric heating solutions will be an added advantage
- You are a strong communicator, service-oriented and a team player
- You are self-motivated, and have the ability to build and coach the right team for impact
