Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for performing various fiscal and administrative duties to support the FWC Division of Law Enforcement.
Audits p-card charges for completeness, accuracy and compliance with state laws and policies related to budget, expenditures, and procurement for the division.
Plans, organizes, and prepares purchase requisitions for the division in accordance with state laws and policies and processes invoices for payment.
Interprets and ensures departmental compliance for purchases to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, purchasing rules and guidelines and agency policies and procedures.
Processes contract and utility payments to the Finance and Budget Office.
Monitors section expenditures through expense systems and reconciles to FLAIR. Prepares periodic budget projections as required.
Performs special independent projects and assignments by researching, compiling, and analyzing statistical information for report preparation for the division.
Performs other related work as required.
Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:
Knowledge of purchasing rules; property inventory, finance & accounting procedures, and budget. Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports. Ability to use personal computer. Ability to work independently. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate with the public in a courteous manner.
